Felipe Bedoya

FELIPE BEDOYA'S work contemplates his idea of home to construct places of bricolage that house memory, shelter loneliness and where the origin of the artist always lives as an aesthetic reference. In ruminating on his own history, Bedoya reflects on vital practices that concern all living beings, creating his work can be extrapolated and interpreted globally.
 
Felipe Bedoya was born in Cali, Colombia in 1986. He began to draw when he was very young and his early work was heavily influenced by pop culture, especially magazines and television. As his style grew he began to develop a childlike aesthetic for adults, combining techniques and expressions like photography, fashion and painting. After earning a degree in Graphic Design, he began working in diverse forms of artistic expression including photography, illustration, and painting.
