In Meadow Picking the daisies, trees and plants, even the bean poles and the circumference of the figure are reduced to dashes of neon set within an ocean blue ground. It’s as if the onlooker only has eyes limited to one end of the spectrum. This removes the goings on within the image away from us into a more dreamy and detached world as if we were looking through a camera obscura. The meadow seems very far away.
